This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on DevOps professional to take ownership of the firm's cloud and infrastructure automation capability while leading a small, high-performing engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, maintaining and continuously improving the firm's DevOps ecosystem, ensuring the reliability, scalability and security of critical trading and business platforms. This position combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering and would suit someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and day-to-day delivery. A selection of your responsibilities will be to, lead and mentor a small DevOps and platform engineering team, drive the DevOps strategy, standards and best practices across the organisation. Write, review and maintain automation scripts and tooling, primarily using Python, manage and optimise containerised environments using Kubernetes. Oversee source control, CI/CD pipelines and development workflows within GitHub and build and maintain monitoring, observability and alerting solutions using Grafana.
To be considered you be able to demonstrate proven experience in a DevOps Lead, Senior DevOps Engineer, or Platform Engineering leadership role. Strong hands-on scripting and automation experience with Python, expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies, administering and managing GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. Solid knowledge of Grafana and modern monitoring/observability practices and extensive database exposure, including performance, administration, and optimisation of enterprise database environments.
