We are looking for skilled and experienced resources with the below skillsets/qualifications to take ownership of designing, implementing, and managing various application platform services we maintain. Your role will involve working closely with and other engineering stakeholders in the smooth running of their applications on our platforms.

Min. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 5+years IT-relevant work experience

• Strong system administration skills to manage your servers and other infrastructure components. Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, networking, security principles, and performance tuning is required.

•Strong understanding of containerization concepts and familiarity with technologies like Docker. Proficiency in Docker, including container creation, image management, Dockerfile creation, and Docker networking.

In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, including master and worker nodes, pods, deployments, services, and ingress. Knowledge of creating k8s manifests, deploying and scaling applications, managing secrets and configurations

A strong understanding of Jenkins and its core components. Familiarity with Jenkins architecture, installation, and configuration to effectively administer and maintain the Jenkins infrastructure.

•Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts. Understanding how CI/CD pipelines work, including build automation, version control, testing, and deployment processes.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and Datadog, including setting up dashboards, alerts, and analyzing logs for troubleshooting.

•Proficiency in provisioning and managing cloud resources, configuring basic security measures, monitoring resource usage, and understanding fundamental AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM and VPC

• A good understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching and an ability to troubleshoot common network connectivity issues.

• The ability to write scripts to automate routine tasks.

•Experience with version control systems like Git or SVN. Understanding branching, merging, and managing code repositories.

•Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for resolving issues related to the various application infra.

Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies is advantageous.

• Configuring, managing and monitoring the network of microservices with a distributed application, ensuring secure communication, observability and control over traffic routing and policies using tools like istio.

• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices and familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

•Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to interact with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders. The ability to understand their requirements, provide support, and convey technical information effectively Industry-recognized certifications can help validate your skills and knowledge, the likes of CKA, CKAD.

•Habituated to learn and stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and practices. Attend relevant training programs, conferences, and exploring online resources to enhance your expertise.

Education-Required
